JOB SUMMARY / MAIN OBJECTIVES

Context

The growth of our customer in Africa commercial operations, generate the need for structuring the IS approach.
The Africa Landscape project deals mainly with Infrastructure but can also involve business solution topics.

Main goals

The goal of this assignment is to document and classify the different African sites of our customer, define the service catalogue according to the sites classification and propose a roll-out plan.

This is the first step of the project. The following steps have to be defined during this assignment.

TASKS

Analyse the African Landscape and structure the classification of sites by size, domain, complexity,

Define with the IS stakeholders and business representatives the service catalogue adapted to the sites classification regarding Network, End User Services, Business solution, …

Define and propose to the business and IS stakeholders a roll-out plan taking into consideration business , IS, local and global constraints.

Manage multi-cultural & multi-country team composed of Information Systems team members; Business team members could also possibly be part of this team.

Coordinate project activities with all project actors & stakeholders being from all internal departments involved and external companies.

Control and optimize allocation and use of those resources.

Organize & communicate on project governance. Prepare & animate project steering committee meetings and ensure that decisions are executed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE and COMPETENCIES

Main competencies

Above 5 years’ experience in proven, successful project management delivery either on information systems applications or infrastructure.

Scheduling & project management skills : organization, planning & scheduling, tracking, team management.

Consulting capabilities : approach structuring, presentation documentation writing, proposal building and skills in presentation to the stakeholders.

Communication, reporting & decision making skills to project team, stakeholder and sponsors.

Governance meeting organization, animation and decision tracking.

Other competencies

 Infrastructure and Network knowledge
 Commercial Operations knowledge is a plus
